We’re updating how we name our WORK releases to make things clearer and more consistent across our products, based on helpful feedback from our customers.
From now on, WORK releases will follow the format:
- WORK [Underlying Moodle version] – for major releases
- WORK [Underlying Moodle version] Maintenance Pack [#] – for minor releases
This change starts with this release: what was previously called WORK 4.3 will now be named WORK 4.5 MP3. You’ll see this new naming in release notes, product communications, and technical documentation.
The Open LMS Product team is pleased to announce the release of WORK 4.5 MP3 :

Open LMS Highlights
Continued Redesign of the Programs UI
As part of the ongoing redesign of the Programs user interface, users can now choose how they want their programs displayed, either in a Grid or List view. A new dropdown menu allows users to switch between these layout options for a more personalized experience.
To improve readability, program cards now display only the date, with the time removed. Additionally, any fields that are not set or contain no data (such as date or custom fields) will no longer be shown to end users, resulting in a cleaner and more intuitive interface.
When the My Programs block is placed inside the Block drawer, the Grid layout is now fully supported allowing users to use either layout style seamlessly, even within the drawer.
Adoption of the New Design in My Programs Pages
The new My Programs design has now been extended to the My Programs pages. Each enrolled program is displayed as an individual card, showcasing the program image in the header and key details such as start date, due date, end date, and a color-coded status (Open, Overdue, Completed, or Failed). This update provides a more visual and user-friendly experience across the platform.
New Feature: Centralized Content Management (CCM)
The Centralized Content Management (CCM) tool is now available in the Work product, making it easier to create, replicate, and maintain consistent course content across multiple courses.
With CCM, administrators and instructors can:
- Create Master versions of activities and resources.
- Replicate those Masters into any course and section.
- Apply updates to the Master and automatically push changes to all linked Replicas.
Key Highlights:
- Supported content types: Page, File, Label, SCORM, Quiz, and Assignment.
- Edition Mode: When editing a Master, users enter a 2-hour editing window where changes are auto-saved. A message will confirm Edition Mode, with the option to save manually at any time.
- Flexible update options: Choose between auto-saving changes or managing them manually.
