At Open LMS, we’re committed to supporting innovation and improvement in teaching and learning in a careful, practical manner that drives better outcomes without adding additional complexity or risk to our client’s environments.
Artificial Intelligence innovation continues to advance at an accelerating pace. It’s sure to impact corporate and higher education in both positive and challenging ways. We want to engage with you and keep you up to date on our plans and progress.
AI Tools to Help You
Open LMS is also evaluating how we might improve our products and service levels via AI.
Our Product Management team is already evaluating ways to utilize AI tools to enhance teaching and learning. We’ll ensure that any innovations we deliver add value to teaching and learning, and are integrated in a way that complements and enhances the interaction of learners and teachers.
We’ve taken the first steps to help you mitigate some of AI’s challenges to academic integrity by adding Copyleaks Plagiarism Detector (available now) to our portfolio. Copyleaks adds advanced AI detection to its already powerful plagiarism detection tools. It can:
- Detect AI-generated content, including ChatGPT4
- Detect multiple forms of paraphrasing
- Perform image-based text plagiarism detection
- Expose attempts to deceive detection software
- Detect plagiarism in source code
Our Customer Support organization is investigating how AI might allow our support representatives to provide superior service by improving our responsiveness and reducing the time required to find an answer amidst our technical and knowledge base content.

We've been collecting articles about ChatGPT since it hit our radar and are tracking them in this doc. Feel free to suggest additions!
We have found Anna Mills' contributions to be particularly thoughtful and well-balanced, if you're looking for a place to start. Be sure to check out the random posts, cartoons, and links at the end of the doc.
