Let’s Talk about Accessibility During Global Accessibility Month!
Accessibility is something that should be top of mind year-round. Still, each May, during Global Accessibility Month, we reflect on our accessibility resources and practices to help our clients and ourselves serve our diverse learners effectively and equally.
What accessibility questions do you have? Use this post to ask us all things accessibility & engage with your fellow Open LMS users!
Now, what has been on our minds when it comes to accessibility?
This year, with AI top of mind across all technology, we are spending a lot of time looking at how AI can help us reach accessibility goals and where we have to be aware of potential pitfalls. We are exploring just that topic on Global Accessibility Day on May 18th across four global regions and in two languages, if you want to join us live or receive a recording, you can register for the session.
Our team has already been talking about this topic, like in this teaser from the AI in Learning Summit featuring Ladek, our Principle of eLearning Advocacy and Michael Vaughn, our resident AI guru (and Adoption and Education Specialist).
We’ve also been spending some time reflecting on our new partnership with Brickfield, whose free tier accessibility tools are built right into MoodleTM.
If you’re new to Accessibility, check out our recording from last year’s Global Accessibility Day, where Michael Vaughn broke down what you need to know about building an accessible environment for your learners.
What accessibility tools are you currently using? What do you feel like you could use more training on?
