Release notes for WORK 2.0

The Open LMS Product team is happy to announce the release of WORK 2.0 on July 6, 2023.

Major changes

Upgrade to Core 4.1.3

As part of this major release, the team in Open LMS upgraded the platforms and reviewed the code of versions 4.1, 4.1.1, 4.1.2, 4.1.3 and 4.1.4, adding the corresponding fixes, improvements, security patches, and important backports.

New Features and Updates

• Web service API for Program enrollments - includes options to get a list of programs, the enabled allocation options, allocate users to the program, delete allocations, modify the cohorts allocated, and check the status of users relative to a program

• Updated Programs to use a new notification framework (similar to the UDP notifications). Notifications can now be configured per program and easily translated

• Simplified the cohort visibility and cohort allocation experience in Programs by fully separating them

• A new report source which reports on issued Workplace certificates

• Improved logging relative to UDP request actions

• UDP requests can now be deleted, approved, rejected (which blocks the user from editing them or creating a new request) or reopened. Reopening a request is new - this puts the request back into edit mode for the user/mentee, so they can make updates and resubmit when ready

• If the program enrollment method is disabled on a site the option to add programs to User Development Plans is hidden

• Tenant login pages are now configurable in the tenant appearance settings. Users can control the position of the login box and control it’s opacity, as well as add a background image

• Tenants can configure the width of the main content space on the dashboard and other pages

• The Advanced Primary Menu now includes options to hide default menu items as well as menu items added by plugins.

• Fixed an issue where unsolicited logins from IdPs into tenants failed as well as adding an option in the config.php to allow tenant members to use global IdPs

• Added a new question behavior that locks correct answers from previous attempts

• Personalized Learning Designer was added as an option plugin after being ported from the EDU team
