Conduit Reports include transaction logs, unmatched records, and grades. You can filter results to search for specific information and select specific tables for comparing data between Conduit and Moodle.
Access the Conduit reports
Steps: Conduit > Reports
Select Reports in Conduit.
Conduit reports are available in the Basic HTML view and the Standard view (AJAX).
- The Basic HTML view displays all data in an HTML table for a lighter weight and less dynamic view. Sorting will cause the page to refresh in this view type. The HTML view is recommended when using a screen reader.
- The Standard view is the default view and renders the data using AJAX, which allows you to edit the information from within the table by double-clicking on the cell. You can also sort the data in the report without reloading the page.
- To change your report view, select the Basic HTML or Standard link at the bottom of the page.
View Logs
Steps: Conduit > Reports > Logs
The Logs view is the default view in Conduit Reports. Conduit produces a log report that displays the processing details of every action requested of Conduit along with any informational messages, warnings, or errors that occur. The Logs are grouped by transaction type (cli, web service, file, edit, etc.) and can be filtered by time and Name (or kind of transaction such as user or course).
- Select the Logs tab.
- Filter the report by setting any of the following criteria:
- Type a specific transaction Name (kind of record) to view.
- Select a specific transaction Type (file import or Conduit edit).
- Select Exclude Empty Transactions to not include empty logs. (Select Show more for this option.)
- Select a window for the dates the job started for the log files under Time started.
- Select a window for the dates the job finished under Time completed. (Select Show more for this option.)
- Select Filter to apply the filters chosen and display the new report.
- Select Reset to clear any filters currently in use to display the report.
To access detailed information about the actual actions taken for each transaction in Conduit and in Moodle, select the magnifying glass icon next to the desired transaction to view the detailed logs.
The details include:
- Severity: Severity of any error during processing individual record.
- Source: The system the transaction was processed for either conduit or Moodle.
- Message: Short message of the action taken and information on any error that occurred when importing the file to Conduit.
- Time Created: Time the action was completed. In order to reduce the number of log records kept in the system, it is recommended that you delete older logs.
- To delete old log records manually, follow these steps:
- Select the specific transactions or use select Select All at the bottom of the page.
- Choose Delete from the With Selected menu.
- Select Yes on the warning.

More records per page leads to slower performance but can be useful when manually deleting records from the Logs. The default is 50 per page.
