Using Maxbytes value in Conduit to control maximum file upload size on courses

The maxbytes value, seen in the course section of Conduit Mappings can control the course maximum upload size. In a course this setting is found under the Course administration > Edit settings. This setting limits the maximum file size that can be uploaded anywhere into the course; individual activities can be set lower than this maximum by editing roles, but cannot be set higher. The setting can also be set as a default setting for all courses across the site under Site Administration > Courses > Course default settings

How to use in Conduit

To start, you need to have maxbytes mapped under Conduit > Settings > Mappings tab > Conduit Course records, you can use Conduit to update the Maximum upload setting in your courses. Once that mapping is in place, new course records, or updates sent with the Update Moodle every sync flag on that field, will set the maximum course file upload value to the value provided.

What values can be used?

Use the table below to find the value that you need to use as your maxbyte value and what file size that corresponds to in the interface. The value provided must match one of the options in the dropdown menu provided in the Course settings.
