Occasionally, situations will arise in which you will want to suspend the enrollment of a user in a course. Suspending users prevents selected users from accessing a course while keeping their user data, such as grades and assignment submissions, intact. When ready, you can set the record back to active status using the same process.
To suspend a user's enrollment manually in Conduit, follow these steps:
- In the Conduit block on the site front page, select Settings.
- Select the Mappings sub-tab.
- Under Conduit Enrollments, ensure that the status field is mapped to some value. If not, type something in the text box to the right of the word status and select "Save changes".
- Now all of your enrollment records will have a column for status. Whether you choose to edit Conduit enrollments manually, via CSV, or via web services, entering a value of '0' for status indicates an active enrollment, and '1' indicates a suspended enrollment.
Tip:
You can move down the Mapping page more quickly by using the Collapse all toggle at the top of the page.
