- Centralised Course Overview: Introduction of a redesigned Course Overview page to provide learners with a consolidated view of their courses, activities, and deadlines. Activity icons are now color-coded to improve navigation.

- Directory restructure: Implementation of a simplified Moodle™ file structure to improve server configuration and streamline plugin management.
- New URL routing engine: Integration of a new engine providing cleaner URLs and smoother platform navigation.
- Granular AI access controls: Enhancements to generative AI management now include access controls that are configurable at the course and activity level. In addition, more provider options are now available.
- Activity Chooser refinements: Enhancements to simplify activity selection and provide a clearer overview of gradable information.
- Centralised Course Overview updates: They ensure consistent formatting, the addition of new action buttons, and improved integration with the activity overview.
- Enhanced Reporting and Assignment grading: The Report Builder offers more flexible reporting options and filters, and Assignment grading panels have been enhanced for improved user experience.

Notable Removals and Deprecations
- Official support for Oracle Database has been discontinued.
- The Atto text editor has been removed in favour of TinyMCE Premium.

- Moodle™ 5.1 mandates that web servers be configured to point to the newly introduced /public directory to prevent errors.
- Some plugins may necessitate manual relocation to function correctly following the platform upgrade.
