Open LMS Highlights
New in Open Reports engine
New Report Source: Tenant Details in Open Report Engine
A new Tenant report source is now available in the Open Report Engine, allowing administrators to generate reports with key information about tenants across their environment.
This new source provides greater visibility into tenant configuration, usage, and administration, helping teams monitor tenant activity and manage capacity more effectively.
The following columns are available within this report source:
Tenant name
Tenant name (linked to Tenant page)
Tenant ID
Tenant Site name
Tenant Site short name
Tenant category
Tenant category ID
Tenant cohort
User limit value
Administrators
Login URL
Tenant users count
Count of users that have never logged in
Count of users that have logged in
This enhancement enables administrators to easily audit tenant configurations, track user adoption, and support operational and reporting needs across multi-tenant environments.
New Report Source: Tenant Members
A new report source, “Tenant members,” is now available in the reporting engine.
This source allows administrators to retrieve information about users associated with tenants, combining tenant-level details with standard user data.
This enhancement enables more comprehensive reporting by linking tenant information directly with user data in a single report source.

Announcements – Tenant Specific
This release introduces the ability to create tenant-specific Site Announcements.
What’s New
Tenant Managers can now post announcements in Site Announcements that are visible only to users within their associated tenant.
Announcements created by Site Administrators will continue to be visible to all users across all tenants, as usual.
How It Works
To enable this functionality:
Assign users the Tenant Manager role at:
Site Home → Assigned rolesEnsure the role includes the capability to add news to the site.
Once configured:
If the user posting the announcement belongs to a specific tenant, the announcement will be visible only to users within that tenant.
Site Administrator announcements remain global and visible to all tenants.
This enhancement allows for more targeted communication while maintaining global announcement capabilities for site-wide updates.

Removal of Atto Editor (Effective July 2026)
As part of the upgrade to Moodle 5.1, scheduled for July 2026, the Atto editor will be fully removed, as previously announced in earlier versions.
The Tiny editor has been set as the default editor for some time, and we have continued to enhance it by adding sub-plugins and capabilities to provide the best possible content creation and editing experience across the platform.
We recognize that some clients may still be using Atto, or allowing end users to choose between Atto and Tiny. For this reason, we strongly recommend planning ahead for this change by promoting and encouraging the use of the Tiny editor prior to the Moodle 5.1 upgrade.
Taking these steps in advance will help ensure a smooth transition and adoption for users who may not yet be fully familiar with the Tiny editor.
