Starting in version 4.1, Open LMS plans to enable this feature by default on new sites. In the long term, this feature will replace the Face-to-Face module. For clients who want to start using it, a migration tool is available to convert Face-to-Face activities into ILDET activities.

New option in Training frameworks to limit valid completions to a specific category

This new option allows you to associate a framework with a specific course category, ensuring that only courses within that category count toward the completion of the framework.

Enabling this feature simplifies management for organizations with overlapping timeframes for programs or certifications, providing better control over which courses contribute to each framework.

New Payment Gateways in eCommerce

Our eCommerce solution now supports two additional payment gateways: PayPal and Authorize.net. These new options provide greater flexibility for processing transactions, enhancing the payment experience for both administrators and end users.

New: eCommerce Notifications for Benefits

We’ve introduced a new set of eCommerce benefit notifications to keep users informed about expiring and expired benefits. The following notifications are now available:

  • Benefit about to expire (redeemer)
  • Benefit about to expire (purchaser)
  • Benefit expired (redeemer)
  • Benefit expired (purchaser)

The recipient of each notification depends on the context. For example, a purchaser may receive updates about a product they bought, while a redeemer (voucher beneficiary) is notified about their benefit status.

Additionally, these notifications can be customized based on user preferences using variables to personalize messages.
