Vendors and partners' release schedule

If there is a specific plugin or development that needs to be released in a specific EDU release version, please consider the following:

Plugin type:

New Client-specific plugin: Plugin or development requested by a specific client or group of clients that is not yet part of our code base and requires a code review from zero. This plugin will only be activated for the requesting clients.
New product plugin: Plugin or development targeted for all Open LMS EDU customer base. This plugin is not yet part of our code, needs a code review from zero, and will be available for activation by any client of Open LMS EDU.
Upgrade of a Client-specific plugin: Plugin or development requested by a specific client or group of clients that has been code reviewed in the past and is available in Control Panel. The plugin needs a code review to upgrade to a new version.
Upgrade of a product plugin: Plugin or development that has been code reviewed in the past and is available in Control Panel. This plugin needs to be upgraded to a new version and work for any open LMS EDU client that has it active or requests its activation.

Considerations:

Maintenance packs are targeted for bug fixes, minor enhancements, and security patches, they are not intended for releasing new Product plugins or upgrades of product plugins. The Intelliboard plugins are an exception.

All new product plugins and product plugin upgrades should be scheduled for Major releases of Open LMS EDU.

Professional services have the discretion of releasing New client-specific plugins and upgrades of client-specific plugins during Major releases and MP's releases, considering that MP1 is usually a very short release and not recommended for new plugins or plugin upgrades.

Submitting a plugin for review by the specified code review date is not a guarantee that the plugin will be included in that release.
