Once you have created one or more benefits, you can begin creating products. A product is a combination of one or more benefits bundled together and assigned a price.
To create a new product, navigate to:
Site Administration → General → Commerce → Create product
This will open a form that guides you through the setup process. Start by providing a name and description for your product, then select the relevant benefits from the list of available options.
In this example, the product includes both course enrollment and a Face-to-Face (F2F) session for a First Aid course delivered over three days. Purchasing this product will automatically enroll the user in the course and register them for the selected session.
You can set the price after creating the product. Complete the form, select one or more benefits, and click Save changes.
After saving, you will be redirected to the product list, where you can review your newly created product and continue configuring its pricing.
Click on the gear icon to return to the product page and configure pricing. From there, click Create price.
You will be prompted to enter a description for the price. This is especially useful when creating multiple pricing options based on specific criteria, such as user profile data, cohort membership, or other availability conditions.
Only the currencies enabled in your site settings will be available for pricing. The list of supported currencies may vary depending on the location and configuration of your Stripe account.
Once pricing has been configured, a deep link is automatically generated. This link allows users to access the specific product and pricing directly. It will be displayed at the top of the page after the price is saved.
You will also notice the recurrence type setting. By default, purchases are perpetual, meaning the user pays once and retains access indefinitely. However, additional options are available:
- One-off subscription: Grants access for a defined period (configured in months or years)
- Recurring subscription: Provides access for a set period (months or years) and automatically renews until the user cancels
Once configured, the product is ready for purchase.
When a user selects the product and clicks Checkout, they will be redirected to Stripe to securely complete the transaction.
If you click the "Buy for others" option you'll get a similar, but slightly different screen that let's you select the number of each product you want to purchase. For example, if you wanted to purchase 5 of the Session 2 seats it would look like this:
