Release notes for WORK 2.1

The Open LMS Product team is happy to announce the release of WORK 2.1 on August 28, 2023.

Upgrade to Core 4.1.5

As part of this release, the team reviewed the code of 4.1.5 and upgraded the underlying systems, adding the corresponding fixes, improvements, and security patches.

New and Updated WORK Features

• Certifications - building on our Programs feature, certifications adds the concept of validity periods, and automated actions upon expiry, such as resetting the users' progress in the program and reallocating them, or allocating the users to a new program. More details are available in the Certifications KB articles.  
• New APIs for managing tenant membership, such as specifying a tenant at time of user creation and the ability to reallocate a user from one tenant to another.  
• The ability to import content from one program into a new program.
• The ability to import allocation settings from one program into a new program.
• New completion option for programs based on minimum number of points. Points are set on a per program basis. 
• New option to delay progress through a program. You can set up a delay at an individual item or at the "set" level. This new option allows you to slow down a user from progressing too quickly through content. 

Bug fixes and minor enhancements 

• Access to the interface for assigning roles manually in the tenant context was broken in 2.0 - a new menu was added in 2.1 to restore access. 
• Improved performance and the display of Program dates in the calendar. 
• Fixed an issue in the Program report source that prevented the "Program name (expanding details)" column from displaying correctly. 
• Fixed an issue in the Program report source that prevented users from exporting Program reports that included the "Courses - all" column. 
• Fixed an issue in the Program report source that caused issues with pre-filtering results by due date. 
• Fixed an issue that prevented proper completion calculations and updates to completion status in Face-to-Face in WORK 2.0. 
• Renamed Report Builder to the Open Report Engine to better differentiate from Moodle's new Report Builder.
